The surgery of "upward maxillary sinus" has the purpose to modify the marked atrophy of the rear districts of the upper arch of the mouth by increasing the amount of bone tissue.

This area, in fact, hidden inside a cavity full of air, known as "sinus", of different proportions from individual to individual, whose wideness strongly ties the aGolability of bone useful for the insertion of implants. When the alveolar bone loses its teeth, fairly quickly, it begins a process of decreasing the volume of bone that gets worse in the long run, reaching grades so to prevent insertion of any facility, including minimum proportions.
A upward maxillary sinus surgery regenerates a good amount of bone between the maxillary sinus and oral cavity in order to correct the 'irregularities and then allow the insertion of implants of adequate length and diameter.
The bone drawing is almost always from the chin or jaw, but this is not necessary in all cases because it’s possible to use natural or synthetic substitutes totally biocompatible.
In nearly every case it’s possible to go on with implants inclusion at the same time of bone regeneration so to make one single surgery.
